So…

Hello,

I’ve been a bit quiet on here of late. But I am doing…to a degree.

The Weapon of Love album has been, shall we say, re-imagined and mixed properly. The last time I heard it, it sounded very powerful, very shiny, very lovely. I hope millions of people get to hear it. Its success is due to two chaps, one of which is me, the other of which I shall hopefully blog about soon.

Also, a 3 song EP will potentially be around before long too, with songs I recorded during the remixing of Weapon of Love. They sound great too!

And I’m possibly going to try something next month. Which is to do as many little singing nights during the month as I can. 30 would be great but would also possibly kill me so I’m going to start by suggesting I will do 12 nights in September but I’d like it to get closer to 20. Any place around Bournemouth or Poole I can find that has a night for a little impromptu singing I will try to get to. If anyone knows of any that are worth going to please let me know. I’ll put the dates up here as and when they come up and if you fancy coming along that would be great. I’m calling it the September Sing and better get practicing and doing some art otherwise I’m seriously going to run out of time.

Will keep you posted!

Quick quote

Good artists do what they believe in and don’t merely court public approval. In these respects they are the opposite of politicians.

Weapon Of Love #3

So the new album is…almost finished. Listened on some different speakers today and heard things that needed tweaking and things that didn’t desperately need tweaking but that I wanted to change for my satisfaction. You could tweak forever but you gotta stop sometime. Here’s the cover, by the way:

Quote of the day #1

Art is the Flower. Life is the Green Leaf. Let every artist strive to make his flower a beautiful living thing, something that will convince the world that there may be, there are, things more precious, more beautiful – more lasting than life itself – Charles Rennie Mackintosh
